You: A Two-sided Coin!*

You and I, it appears, are like a two-sided coin.
On the upper or “heads” side, we are human beings.
On the lower or “tails” side, we’re quantum beings.
Our human identity centers around our person-hood
while our quantum identity is all about our nothing-hood.
On the heads side, we convincingly appear to exist
while, on the tails side, we don’t exist at all.
When we’re awake, we’re humans—doing human things.
When we’re asleep, we’re quantum beings—
seemingly doing nothing at all.
Yes, you and I live in two entirely different dimensions.
Our human one: visible, tangible and energy-driven.
Our quantum one: invisible, intangible, and ever so empty.
How fascinating! We have two distinctly different identities!
We live in two completely separate worlds!
And both of them fully embodied in one single being:
you!
(Well, me also, of course! Okay, every one of us!).
Here’s the most fascinating aspect of this two-world phenomenon:
The “Down Under” side of us is what’s responsible for our upper side.
Our empty quantum nature is the behind-the-scenes power
that sources our seemingly tangible human nature.
Yes, our quantum “non-self” holds the key to every aspect
of our human world, human nature and human experience.
So what? you might ask. What does it matter
that we’re sourced in a purely quantum nothingness?
Well, it matters quite a lot, actually.
First of all, our human identity—our sense of who we are—
winds up being way too small, limited and superficial
if we’re not feeling connected to or rooted in
our quantum source.
It would be like a planet trying to move through space
without a gravitational connection to its star.
Or like a tree trying to grow without having underground roots.
Or like an electric light bulb trying to shine its light
without being plugged into an electrical socket.
It’s the same with you and me. Imagine yourself, for example,
trying to be a fully functioning human being
without being rooted in a deeper source or higher power.
What’s the difference? You might ask.
Does it really matter that we are consciously aware
of our quantum nature?
Doesn’t it work for us
even if we remain ignorant of its existence?
The general answer, of course, is “Well, yes … but …!”
Allow me to explain,
first by sharing with you a truly radical observation.
It’s one that I’ve gleaned from my many years
of supporting and helping so many human beings.
Ready? Here it is:
The single most problem that most of us humans face is that
we don’t feel connected to our personal root system,
our own power socket, our very quantum nature!
If we’re defining ourselves primarily as human beings,
we’re instantly living on a reduced power source.
In this scenario, we’re forced to evaluate everything
about ourselves, others and life itself
in strictly human terms—
based on learned human value judgments,
acquired moral principles and duality-centered expectations.
And, let’s face it, most of us wind up struggling and failing
when we live our lives based on these duality-morality-filled rules.
Let’s consider the alternative scenario: your dual identity.
Suppose you defined yourself primarily as a quantum being,
one who is undergoing a distinctively human experience.
In this scenario, you’re free from the binding constraints
of both duality and morality.
In their place, your sense of your ‘self’ and of your truth
derives from your deeper quantum nature.
Quantumly, you see yourself and your human life
as a dream, one that your quantum self is dreaming;
as a phantasm, one that your quantum self is imagining;
as a creative hologram projected onto an invisible screen
of seeming reality by your very own quantum imagination.
With the above self-concept comfortably tucked under your belt,
you’re now ready to perceive your human self and life
as a make-believe, imagined and creative adventure.
As an imaginary living out of one or many possibilities,
without any hint of negative self-evaluation
or of feelings of responsibility, fear or disappointment—
the feelings that characterize those who take their daily cues
from a strictly human self-definition.
That’s right. Owning your quantum nature frees you
from so many of the burdens and limitations
that regular human beings face and experience.
Owning your quantum nature allows you
a liberating, above-the-forest view of yourself
and everything else in and around your world—
all while you’re going about your daily human chores.
Now, here’s the next, perhaps more important, question:
Would you dare to take a truly radical step:
to adopt your quantum nature
as your primary self-definition?
To call yourself a quantum being first and foremost?
Would you dare to demote your human self-concept
to a long-awaited secondary status,
to give it the role of follower rather than leader?
To give your human nature or ‘self’ a new job description:
that of taking its cues from its wiser boss—
its quantum source?
That of using your human mind-based gifts
to translate quantum truth into your daily human life?
Let’s look at this picture with yet another question.
What if you were successful in the above scenario?
What if you actually owned your quantum nature
as primary? Then what?
Here’s my best guess at what would follow:
You would wake up every morning filled with a sense of possibility.
You would go through your day living in the moment of each event.
You would actually enjoy or be peaceful in that moment,
because you not experiencing it as success or failure,
positive or negative, right or wrong, fair or unfair.
You would experience everything in and around you
as a magical fairy-tale in the making,
leaving you free to embrace its adventure,
ride its waves and navigate its speed bumps,
as who you really are”:
a quantum being having a human experience.
What do you think?
My own opinion is this:
Having a dual, two-sided nature gives you and me
a true “Get out of jail free!” card.
It allows and invites us to lead our human lives
from the beyond-creation space of our quantum source.
Gee, maybe that’s what was intended in our human dream
from the very beginning?
Maybe we just forgot.
Hmm, maybe we can now choose to stop forgetting.
Maybe we can now remember who we really are:
powerful quantum beings actively living out our dream,
as we’re all dressed up in our shiny human clothes.
What do you think?
The ball is in your court.
