There is an empty spot ...*

There is an empty spot in each one of us.

It’s been there since you and I first stepped into our human form.

Strangely, though, we can’t see it.

Likewise, we can’t touch, hear or feel it.

Intriguingly, though, we can find it.

And we can know it—quite well, in fact.

More frequently, it finds us—

often in the most unexpected of times.

This empty spot never goes away.

It appears to have been placed there by some bigger-than-life design.

It’s as essential to our existence as our human DNA.

In occupying this quiet, empty space within us,

it daily super-charges us with its unending benefits,

serving as the immeasurable power behind our human throne,

creating us anew daily

in and through its mighty but unhear-able language

of silence.

What is it, this hidden, powerful empty spot?

For starters, let’s call it our ‘quantum’ spot.

It’s our quiet, empty source. Our invisible roots.

Our very own personal quantum void.

Yes, just as our soul serves us as our personalized field of light,

so this internal empty spot is our personalized quantum void.

Like a massive black hole is any galaxy’s unseeable power,

this barely noticeable empty spot is our source of,

well, let’s face it, everything about us.

Most of us stumble upon our personalized ‘empty spot’ quite unawares.

In difficult times, we are unconsciously led into its waiting emptiness

so that we can perhaps discover ourselves anew.

When we fall sleep, we leave behind our familiar conscious world

and fall nightly into its waiting, vacuum-filled bosom,

where we are then nourished, replenished and refueled

by its devoted commitment to create us anew regularly.

These periodic visits to our empty spot usually happen automatically,

outside of our conscious volition.

But some of us—you and I, for example—

might be feeling a personal calling, an inner beckoning, if you will,

to visit it consciously, to get to know it,

to befriend it, even to live in it.

Why?

Because this empty spot is actually the Quantum Void itself,

the source of your and my ‘everything.’

Because even though it has always been your quiet inner sanctum,

it’s now choosing to awaken itself within you,

deciding to “come out of your inner closet,”

electing to become knowable by you,

from within your personal depths.

Yes, it is choosing to get up front and personal with you,

to have an intimate relationship with you.

In addition, though, it’s calling you back home to itself,

so that you can live in its, and your very own, nothingness

side-by-side with your human everything-ness.

Now, though, it’s inviting you consciously, not just unconsciously.

It’s calling you to live not just within your human dream,

but equally outside of that dream’s seeming realities.

To live in pure Source itself, in its silent emptiness,

in its unspeakable power of creation,

to enjoy its above-the-forest perspectives

as you experience its now-knowable presence within you.

How about that?

A seemingly simple ‘empty spot’

that occupies a seemingly quiet home

within your personal depths

is actually the biggest force ever—in and beyond all creation.

And that seemingly little empty spot is calling you

to know its vastness, its everything-ness

and, mostly, its nothing-ness.

To make it your inner home, to live in its unfathomable wisdom

and to enjoy its now-available-to-you quantum power.
