Life is but a dream!*

QUANTUM SOURCE ... QUANTUM WORLD ... QUANTUM VOID ... QUANTUM YOU!

Let’s look at life through the lens of a metaphor.
What if creation—not just ours, but every creation everywhere—
was a giant, all-encompassing dream?
In this metaphoric scenario, you and I are being dreamed.
Where does this supposed dream start? Who or what is dreaming us?
Perhaps our perceived creation is the product of something far beyond this creation,
perhaps the product of pure nothing-ness.
In this interpretation, our dream originates within the emptiness of the quantum void.
In its complete nothingness, this immense void is perennially aware
of its possible everything-ness.
This quantum awareness is the dream of creation as possibilities.
Yes, visions of infinite possibilities fill the empty quantum void.
It’s a realm consisting only of formless possibilities, all existing invisibly yet vibrantly.
Imagine that awesome creation for a moment. Isn’t that a tantalizing dream?
Physicists call this realm of possibilities a ‘wave’-filled, sub-atomic world—
the unsee-able, potential-rich, behind-the-scenes source of our own human dream.
The dream of creation as reality: For kicks, let’s imagine that the dream continues.
Let’s picture each one of these possibilities now, in turn, dreaming itself
not just as a potential, but as an energized, tangible, feel-able, physical reality.
Could it be that our human ‘reality’ is one of those dreams?
Potential being dreamed, imagined, as real. How interesting!
Here, on this physical earth, we all feel so real, our creation appears so tangible,
our life is experienced as so important.
Yet, perhaps it’s a magically created, convincing dream
of ‘potential-as-experienced-as-real.’
And a wild, intense, powerful dream it is!
Let’s amuse ourselves by continuing our fantasy.
Maybe we’re not just being dreamed here. Perhaps we’re also having our own dreams.
After all, we spend a lot of time dreaming:
We daily daydream in our right brain; we also imagine in our left brain;
equally, we sub-consciously dream in our sleep.
In all these dreams, we are mostly imagining and living out possibilities.
In this unconscious quest for possibilities, perhaps we’re reaching out
to re-discover our ‘possibility’ nature—
that sub-atomic realm in which we’re pure possibility and from which we sprang.
We could call this our dream of reality as possibility.
Let’s take one final leap in our dream metaphor.
Perhaps our “dream of reality as possibility” is our sub-conscious quest to reach deeper,
even further back, to our essential roots—
let’s say, our quantum roots, where the very notion of us first began.
Maybe our dreams’ search for possibilities is intended to lead us all the way back home,
back to the empty void, whence we originated.
sub-consciously we’re all simply homesick
and we’re calling ourselves back to our quantum origins.
This sub-conscious quest might be our very own dream of possibilities
as a path back to the quantum void.
Now we’re back home. Let’s have some freshly baked cookies and warm milk!
Thanks for joining me in this metaphoric, stream-of-consciousness journey:
from quantum void to human creation and back again to quantum void.
I hope it was an enjoyable ride for you.
It’s my sense that we can only understand (and be at peace with) our human creation
when we can look at it from above the forest—
in this instance, from outside the dream—as well as from within it.
Even better, everything starts to make total sense
when we can look at our human experience through the eyes of the quantum void—
where the dream is being continually created, enjoyed and celebrated.
Each of us has, and is, a "quantum self,"
a silent self that has been buried deeply within us.
That’s where we can have that quantum vision at any moment.
Let’s all visit that inner emptiness,
that ‘quantum source within’ regularly …
and enjoy the view!
