If You Were a House ...*
A Five-Dimensional Practice

Who are you? Who am I? Who are we?
On our website’s “The Quantum Source” page, I wrote a short piece
entitled “If you were a house …”. Feel free to re-read it, if you like.
Using the analogy of a house, I described each of us as having a five-fold identity:
(1) The self that we own as a human being lives on the main floor.
Here, we go about our everyday chores and projects of being a human being.
We’re surrounded by space and time, with a mind specializing in duality and morality.
(2) The self that we claim as spiritual lives on the upper, second floor.
Here, we tend to the intangible matters of our peace-filled soul.
We bathe ourselves in our light nature and find calming refuge
in this pure space where unity and love replace duality and morality.
(3) The self that we experience as our essence lives up in the attic.
Here, we live in the simple world of pure being,
where everything, including ourselves, “just is!”
It’s a space beyond all duality, a space even without light
where only pure being, the is-ness of everything, fills our consciousness.
(4) The self that we identify with as quantum lives in our house’s basement.
Here, in this mystery-filled, sub-atomic and other-dimensional zone,
we lose our sense of human identity. Indeed, we claim a quantum identity,
one filled with empty space and the unlimited possibilities of creation.
(5) Finally, the deepest self possible, the one that we call our quantum void,
lives in our basement’s root cellar.
Here, our seemingly tangible existence is subsumed into nothingness.
This completely formless non-self serves us as our Source. Our “SourceForce.”
It’s the pure Nothingness out of which magically appears every Somethingness.
So, if you were a two-story house with an added attic and basement
(complete with root cellar, at no extra cost),
your identity, your sense of who you are, would indeed be a five-dimensional one.
Five identities all wrapped up in one presence … all called you!
Different versions of you, mind you—
one physical and tangible, one made solely of light, one baked only in essence,
one filled with pure possibilities, and one completely formless and empty.
So often, we assume our identity to be dominantly the human one,
when, in reality, that human version of self is only one slice
of a bigger, more dynamic and more powerful five-sliced pie.
How can we help our smaller, single-slice sense of human self,
find its rightful place anew in our bigger pie of consciousness?
How can we bring our limited- and small-feeling human self
into alignment with the bigger, five-fold reality of who we truly are?
How can we hold all five ‘selves’ in our consciousness simultaneously?
I’ve discovered the following practice that may be helpful,
if in fact you’re a practice-oriented kind of person.
So, I present it to you here for your consideration—
If, and only if, it speaks to you, of course.
The Practice:
First, being alone in a meditative-like space, empty your conscious mind.
Then, open the space of your consciousness to be filled with all five of your identities.
You can invite all of these five identities to appear in this space all at once.
Or, if you prefer, invite each to appear one at a time until all of them are present.
Or, then again, you can just wait until they all appear to you as they choose.
Now, just “be” with them. No doing, no project, no plan—just be present to them all.
Be open to what happens next—again, without trying to make anything happen.
It could be that one of them will call your attention to it,
as if to invite you to spend a special ‘moment’ with it and it alone.
If so, follow its cues, go to it, give yourself to its presence, its wisdom, its invitations.
Stay with it until you sense that it’s ready to let your attention move away.
Then, bring your attention back to the bigger space in which they all are present.
It may be that another identity will call your awareness to be present just to it.
If so, do exactly the same as you just did above … and again to any of them that calls you.
In this way, you’re having a special, sacred “moment”,
a ceremony of silent unity, with each of your five ‘selves.’
As a final ‘moment,’ ask all of them to be present to you together,
as a unity, as the blended, complete five-sliced ‘you’.
Ask all five aspects of you to invite you into their unified “Self”—
your quantum void, quantum, essence, spiritual and human identity—
so that you can see, experience and know this mighty pie of Self
as you were meant to see and know yourself.
Stay in this ‘moment’ as long as you feel appropriate.
Then slowly and quietly open your eyes,
knowing that you’ve just had a series of sacred moments
of living in the bigger TRUTH of who you are.
Thank you for being five-dimensional …
and for being here with us as your amazing five-dimensional self!
QUANTUM SOURCE ... QUANTUM WORLD ... QUANTUM VOID ... QUANTUM YOU!
