I have a dream … about a world
where you and I live together in harmony
where no one exists without respect
where each one of us is embraced as special
where everyone is considered sacred, and
where nothing takes the place of pure wonder
I have a dream ... about a world
where our human duality is lived without our moral judgments
where our differences are embraced without restraint
where our separate cultures are valued as sacred
where respect is a part of our every equation, and
where each of us is considered equal to every one of us
I have a dream … about a world
where our heart is always equal to our mind
where our soul participates in our every decision
where life itself is experienced without expectations
where our every moment is considered holy, and
where you and I embrace each other as treasured brothers and sisters
Yes, I have a dream … about a world
where our shared spirit expresses freely
where the meaning of each person’s life is one of delight
where our humanness is experienced as divine-ness
where our energy is embraced as powerful
where ‘living’ means expressing our innermost truth, and
where our dreams are experienced as inspired invitations
For myself, I have a dream … about an inner world
where I embody each of the above dreams within myself
where my heart is alive and involved in every moment
where my soul participates in my every decision
where I embrace everything in my life as sacred
where I value the wonder and possibilities that live in each moment
where I embrace my life as pure mystery, and
where I live that mystery with complete delight
Yes, for myself, I have a dream …
where the divine and the human within me are one and the same
where light and darkness within me live in harmony
where my emotions and my mind are intimate friends
where my passions and my needs meet and unite in my heart
where everything within me moves and plays together in harmony, and
where nothing is more valued than the power of each moment
Finally, I have a dream … yes, a dream about myself
where I embrace everything outside of me as an extension of myself
where I experience my inner life as the same as my divine life
where everything within me lives and breathes the simplest of truths, and
where all that is precious everywhere includes everything that I experience as me
This dream is our dream—the combined dream of your and my pure heart,
clear soul, mighty spirit and deepest truth.
It reflects not just a wish and not just a collection of possibilities,
but a profound truth:
a truth that belongs to your and my quantum, spiritual and heartful ‘self’
a truth that is the even bigger version of our inherited human dream
a truth that reflects the possibilities that are inherent in our current dream
a truth that calls to us from our deepest realms of our consciousness
a truth that compels us to keep expanding our current dream, and
a truth that won’t stop inviting us until we fully embrace its allure
